The key advantages of sandwich panels
Sandwich panels are among the most popular building materials used in industrial, agricultural (AGRO), and commercial construction (e.g. retail facilities). One of their greatest advantages is the possibility of fast installation. Panels are most often mounted to steel structures. It is assumed that construction using this technology can be completed even up to 6 months faster than in the case of buildings erected using traditional (masonry) methods. The main advantages of sandwich panels also include:
- lightweight structure, allowing construction on soils that would otherwise require compaction,
- a favorable ratio between load-bearing capacity and the total weight of the structure (to verify this, it is worth checking the load tables prepared for the selected panel type),
- possibility of making changes to the structural design,
- compatibility with other building materials,
- construction costs comparable to those of traditional materials,
- excellent thermal insulation properties – Gór-Stal offers panels with a thermal conductivity coefficient of λD = 0.022 [W/m•K] or λD = 0.019 [W/m•K]
