SHOW YOURSELF – Polish construction products on the international stage – 3rd edition

The project is being implemented under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014–2020, Priority Axis 2: Support for the business environment and the potential of enterprises to carry out R&D&I activities, Measure 2.3: Pro-innovation services for enterprises, Sub-measure 2.3.3: Internationalisation of National Key Clusters, application number POIR.02.03.03-20-0004/18.
 

Project objective:

The project concerns the internationalisation of the offering of the Eastern Construction Cluster, which holds National Key Cluster (KKK) status. Its main objective is to increase the internationalisation of 32 companies, including 30 SMEs, operating within the National Key Cluster by 31 August 2022. This objective will be achieved through an integrated, comprehensive internationalisation programme tailored to the needs of the companies and implemented by the Coordinator for KKK members. The following activities are planned to achieve this objective:
  

1. Advisory services to prepare companies to enter foreign markets by helping them optimise their offering;
2. Services to present the cluster's offering in key foreign markets, both within and outside the EU, through comprehensive support for companies participating in trade fairs and international business missions;
3. Promotion of the Cluster among potential business partners through the preparation and distribution of cluster catalogues, promotion in trade fair media and online, and the organisation of conferences;
4. Strengthening cooperation between KKK companies by initiating new joint projects, including R&D projects, and establishing and strengthening lasting business relationships that will generate measurable financial benefits for KKK companies;
5. Development of the KKK by attracting new companies that will strengthen the Eastern Construction Cluster's value chain.

Expected outcomes of the activities: 

• entry into foreign markets and internationalisation of at least 32 KKK companies between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2022;
• enhancement of the internationalisation knowledge and capabilities of KKK member companies through advisory services, conferences and meetings with internationalisation experts;
• greater competitiveness of the KKK's offering in international markets through the companies' active participation in trade fairs and international business missions;
• stronger cooperation within the cluster through the initiation of new joint projects, including R&D projects, and the establishment and strengthening of lasting business relationships that will generate measurable financial benefits for KKK companies;
• development of the cluster by attracting new companies that will strengthen the value chain; the activities of both the cluster and the Coordinator help strengthen the position of the Eastern Construction Cluster, as clearly demonstrated by further joint initiatives
• by cluster members, including initiatives often based on innovation in its broadest sense.

Project title: Implementation of R&D results by launching the production of an environmentally friendly sandwich panel featuring low thermal transmittance and high fire resistance

Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds under the Smart Growth Operational Programme, Sub-measure 3.2.1: Research to Market, entitled “Implementation of R&D results by launching the production of an environmentally friendly sandwich panel featuring low thermal transmittance and high fire resistance”.

The project's objective is to improve the company's competitiveness by introducing two types of innovative sandwich panels with a PIR foam core, low thermal transmittance and high fire resistance to the market

Project outcomes: expansion of the company's product range, growth in employment and revenue, and improved competitiveness.

Strengthening the competitiveness of Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. by developing a design strategy and introducing products to the market

The project's objective is to develop Gór-Stal's business by creating a new product design that will enable the introduction of a new product.

The project's planned outcome is to expand the product range with a new type of insulating cladding panel.

Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds entitled “Promotion of Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. products in international markets”.

The project's objective is to promote the products offered by Gór-Stal and support the company's international expansion.

The project will result in increased international expansion and higher revenue from product sales in international markets.

Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds under the Smart Growth Operational Programme, Sub-measure 3.2.1: Research to Market, entitled “Implementation of R&D results by launching the production of environmentally friendly polyester polyols made from waste raw materials”.

The project's objective is to increase the beneficiary's innovation and competitiveness by implementing the results of in-house and commissioned research and development, and introducing a globally innovative solution to the market: environmentally friendly polyester polyols made from waste raw materials that improve fire resistance and thermal conductivity parameters, together with a thermal insulation panel with improved fire resistance.

The project will diversify the company's product range, increase its competitiveness, open up opportunities to reach new customers, and meet the growing demand for polyols both in the market and within the company itself.

Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project entitled “Implementation of an innovative B2B system integrating sales, procurement, logistics, quality control and information exchange processes between Gór-Stal and its business partners”, which has received funding under Measure 8.2: Support for the implementation of B2B e-business of the Innovative Economy Operational Programme. Gór-Stal Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project entitled “Implementation of an innovative technology for the production of PIR thermal insulation panels”, which has received funding under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme, Measure 4.4: NEW INVESTMENTS WITH HIGH INNOVATION POTENTIAL.

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF; EFRR in Polish) was established in 1975 in response to widening disparities in regional development caused by the economic crisis and the accession of the United Kingdom and Ireland to the EU.

The areas within the zone benefit from convenient transport connections, enabling the efficient movement of goods and passengers by various modes of transport.

• Major road transport routes run nearby. The most important is the international A4 route connecting Western Europe with Ukraine. It passes through Dębica, 20 km from Mielec.
• The airport located within the zone in Mielec provides charter passenger and cargo services for domestic and international transport.
• Rail connections enable goods to be transported directly from the zone. In addition, a broad-gauge rail transshipment station with connections to Ukraine and Russia is located 20–30 km from the Special Economic Zone sites in Mielec.
• On-site customs services are provided by a customs post handling export and import clearance. A customs agency located next to the post also provides bonded warehousing and customs storage services.
