construction of industrial buildings using sandwich panels

The specific conditions present in industrial buildings mean that the use of traditional materials may prove ineffective or uneconomical. That is why construction technologies with the highest thermal insulation parameters, capable of operating reliably for many years while maintaining their key performance properties, are becoming increasingly popular. For every investor, durability is important as it helps avoid burdensome maintenance, frequent renovations and repairs. A way to achieve this is by building industrial buildings using sandwich panels. One of the first and largest manufacturers of sandwich panels in Poland and Europe is Gór-Stal, offering a wide range of modern wall sandwich panels, including those dedicated to cold storage/freezer insulation, as well as roof panels with a polyisocyanurate (PIR) core.

Roof panels

Gór-Stal’s offer includes GS insPIRe® D roof sandwich panels, designed for roofing applications, characterized by a very deep profiling (trapezoidal shape) of the external facing. This is related to their ability to carry long-term service loads (more information can be found in the “Load tables” section). The panels are fixed with screws to wooden, steel or reinforced concrete structures. The tightness of panel joints is ensured by a polyurethane PUS seal applied during production.

Wall panels

Wall sandwich panels GS insPIRe® U are intended for the construction of external cladding walls and internal partition walls in buildings with a frame structure. The panels can be installed both vertically and horizontally, as single- and multi-span wall elements. The concealed fixing, invisible from the façade side, makes these panels highly attractive in terms of architecture and functionality.

Another type of wall sandwich panels are GS insPIRe® U curved panels, designed for creating corners. Their use eliminates the need for additional finishing works in these areas. Curved sandwich panels are installed in the same way as flat panels, but their use helps reduce linear thermal bridges.
